Maggie Remynse is a former Division-1 athlete turned pickleball pro (she was #20 in the world), she is now a VP at a an ed-tech company.
In Maggie's own words
I am 33 and my baby is 6.5 months, and I am married. We live in Northern New Jersey in a suburb of NYC. I am the VP of Curriculum/Content at an EdTech company (I manage a large team of data scientists who create data-based education content for corporate tech e-learning).
The most impactful part of her journey:
Getting pregnant was incredibly difficult for my husband and me. And to follow it up, both my pregnancy and delivery were very challenging. It’s been hard to express some of the feelings I have had as I am incredibly grateful to be a mother, but that also doesn’t take away from the challenges that go into being a parent and the expectations that arise (especially being a working mother and the breadwinner in our household).
Fun Fact:
I am a former Division 1 college athlete, turned professional pickleball player. I played my last professional event when I was 12 weeks pregnant. Pre-baby, I was ranked in the top 20 in the world. Now I coach pickleball in my (limited) spare time.
What she would tell her best friend:
Maggie’s biggest advice? Be as prepared as you need to be. She wishes she’d researched more and learned about the realities of fertility treatments, unexpected birth complications, and the whirlwind of new parenthood. Her takeaway: everyone’s journey is different, so finding what makes you feel informed and ready is key. 🌱
